Doctor Who has often been praised for its diversity, particularly so when it celebrated its 60th anniversary, featuring and empowering the transgender community through compelling storytelling. This kind of representation is so important. CULT wanted to make something that encompassed what that meant to us fans (and members of the transgender community).
